How Flashed Router Lets You Work Remotely Without Raising Flags
Working remotely is great—until your location gives you away.
Some employers and services track where your internet connection is coming from. Whether it’s for security, compliance, or control, being seen outside your usual location can trigger unnecessary red flags—even if your job is remote.
That’s where FlashedRouter.com comes in. It’s a simple hardware solution designed for remote workers, digital nomads, and privacy-conscious users who want to stay connected as if they never left home.
How Does It Works
Flashed Router offers two main solutions.
1. Client Only Setup — No Home Server Needed:
With this option, you plug in a small travel device (we call it the Travel Mate), and it connects you to one of our private cloud servers that’s based in your home city or country.
From that moment on, everything you do online looks like it’s coming from your home city location — even if you're on a beach in Bali or a cafĂ© in Berlin.
- No home base or setup required
- No public IP or port forwarding
- Works great for remote work, video calls, streaming, and more
- Our servers are stealthy and not detected as VPNs
2. Full Home Tunnel Solution — Your Real Home, Just Online
If you have access to a home or a permanent location, this option gives you full control.
You plug a small device (Home Server) into your home network. It quietly connects to a secure relay point. Your Travel Mate then connects to it — forming a private, encrypted tunnel straight back to your home.
- You get your real home IP address
- You can access your home devices like a NAS, smart camera, or printer
- All your internet traffic goes through your actual home — even while you're halfway around the world
1. Home Server (Stays at Home)
You plug this device into your home router. It automatically reaches out to our secure Relay Server on the internet, no setup needed—no port forwarding, no public IP required. This is your own home server which will be the gateway to your connections from anywhere in the world.
2. Travel Mate (Goes with You)
This compact device connects to the same Relay Server and securely tunnels back to your Home Server using WireGuard, a modern, lightweight VPN protocol.
Once connected, all your internet traffic is routed through your home network. That means:
- You appear to be browsing from your home IP
- Your employer sees you as “working from home”
- You can access home devices (printers, NAS, etc.)
- Streaming and geo-restricted content works as expected
Fully Encrypted, Zero Configuration
What makes KeepMyHomeIP powerful is how effortless it is:
- No public IP required
- No technical skills needed
- No software to install
- No tampering with your router
Just plug in the devices, and they handle everything in the background.
What About Privacy & Safety?
We’ve built in a kill switch feature to ensure your identity never leaks. If the secure tunnel breaks for any reason, your TravelMate device cuts the connection instantly—so you’re never accidentally exposed.
See It in Action
Check out the video below to see how the traffic flows from your travel device, through the encrypted tunnel, and out of your home internet. Once you see it in action, it all clicks.
